A Home Energy Score is an easy way to see how energy efficient your home is. It estimates how much energy your home uses, where your home is losing energy and provides energy solutions to make your home more efficient and comfortable. Each score is shown on a 1-10 scale, where 10 equals the most efficient home.
The HES is about gaining knowledge and information about your home. It’s an assessment process that helps you make better decisions about potential upgrades. Our home energy score assessor uses a formula developed by the US Department of Energy (DOE) to score your home’s energy use on a scale of 1 to 10. It estimates home energy use, associated costs, and provides energy solutions to cost effectively improve your home’s efficiency.
During your Home Energy Score, our Home Energy Assessor will perform a walk through in your home to look at all energy related assets such as your heating and cooling system, water heater, insulation levels, windows, foundation and much more. Looking at each one of these items in your home can tell us a lot about the energy you are using on a daily basis and give us the answers we need to find solutions to making your home more energy efficient and comfortable.
We will provide you with your home energy score, a report of our findings as well as recommendations to make your home more comfortable and efficient.
Our Home Energy Score is just the start to learning about the efficiency of your home. If you want to know even more, check out our Advanced Home Energy Audit which includes in depth home energy testing and a comprehensive report!
